"219-1/2 PAIRS OF SHOES "

Have you ever thought about why we have shoes?

·     Warmth

·     Safety

·     Balance (for some)

·     Ride a bicycle

·     Climb a mountain

·     So we can walk in someone elses

·     Tradition

·     Socially exceptable . . . and the list goes on!

Now have you ever thought about NOT having shoes? How far could you walk without shoes? Could you make repairs on your house if needed? What about frostbite in the winter time? The hot sand on the beach in the middle of summer? Yikes! Really makes you stop and think, or it did me! After the Alabama tornadoes and multiple families lost EVERYTHING they owned, even their shoes!

This past 2 weeks, thanks to my friends, I collected 219-1/2 pairs of shoes.

 Yes there is actually a shoe without a match!

These will all be going to local tornado victims.

This is not a mountain, but remember, every little bit helps!
