“The Simple Woman’s Daybook”

Outside my window…..
It is a welcomed downpour of rain! Here in the South we seem to be either in drought mode or flash flood mode! (My new rainboots!)

I am thinking……
What to teach at Children’s Church on Sunday.

I am hearing……
The sound of the rain.

I am thankful for…..
My loving husband, children, grandchildren, rain, cooler  weather, my job, my church, wonderful friends, and my relationship with our Lord.

I am praying for…..
My daughter and my sister to gain employment, my family, poverty stricken people especially children, and for me a closer relationship with God, for wisdom and knowledge.
I am reading……
She Makes It Look Easy by Marybeth Whalen,

Stumbling Into Grace by Lisa Harper,

and also doing a Bible Study with Proverbs31 Ministry

on A Confident Heart by Renee Swope.

Around the house…..
Not to bad! I cleaned on Saturday and really got a lot accomplished!
I am wearing…….
Pink, brown with gray leopard looking shirt with gray slacks (office clothes).
In the kitchen…..
I want to make a corn Chowder recipe I ran across at http://poorkitchen.wordpress.com/2011/09/17/corn-chowder/  looks and sounds so good!

One of my favorite things…..
Babysitting my grandchildren!

I am going……
To a ladies Bible Study tonight.

In the garden…….
Tomatoes need to be picked and the old withered plants need to be pulled up!

I am looking forward to....

the weekend!

A few plans for the rest of the week......

work, relax at night, maybe catch up on some reading!

Picture for thought I am sharing…..

Can't you just smell those lemons!!!!!!

Blessings to all and thank you to The Simple Woman’s Daybook for inviting us to join in!

BEAUTY OF THE MORNING

As I sit on the porch at 6:00 AM, Monday morning, with a hot cup of tea, I listen to the wonders of our God. The birds begin to churp, there is a train far away in the background, a cow is mooing, and I actually hear a rooster with his famous "cock-a doodle-do"! I see just over the treetops, the sun beginning to rise. It all reminds me  how fortunate I am for the life I live. Thank you Jesus!

Wishing everyone a blessed day!
